SFU&C volunteers at Children's Inn gift wrap booth

On the evening of Thursday, December 11, members of our crew settled in near Macy's at the Empire Mall to lend our hand as expert gift-wrappers for the Sioux Falls Children's Inn. The event offers shoppers the opportunity to unload their gift-wrapping burden onto volunteers who accept free-will donations that benefit the Children's Inn.

Children's Inn is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1977 that provides 24 hour, free services for women, children and men who are victims of family violence, elder abuse, child abuse, neglect, or sexual assault.

While we worked one of the quieter shifts of the night, it was a good opportunity for us to get to know our newest members even better and for us to become acquainted with an organization that makes a significant impact on families in Sioux Falls. In addition to wrapping, Sioux Falls Up & Coming donated a variety of gifts and items from the Children's Inn wish list.
