| I grew up on a 280 acre farm near Slayton MN. We raised pigs from furrow to finish and grew corn and soybeans. I have one older brother who currently lives in Minneapolis. He is in the real estate business. My dad currently farms and putz with the old machinery. My mom has been in the banking industry for 30 years. She currently works at Fulda Area Credit Union as a Loan Officer.
I have been working as long as I could hold a shovel and drive a tractor. I spent most of childhood and teenage years working on the farm, playing sports, going to school and hanging out with friends. I would say a typical life growing up in small SW town in Minnesota.
After I graduated I went to school at Southeast Tech here is Sioux Falls. I attended there for a year studying computer science and repair. From there I attended two years at Dakota State University. I studied education. After 3 years of school I decided to take a year off to decide what I wanted to do in life. While in the waiting period I fell into cars sales. I found I enjoyed working with people and helping them through the purchase process. After 3.5 years in the car business I decided to enter into the mortgage industry. I was able to bring a lot of what I learned in the car business into mortgage business. I have currently been in the mortgage business for 4.5 years. My current employer is Minnesota Residential Mortgage.
During the summer of 2001 I worked for Custer State Park as a campground attendant. I met my wife that year. She was working as a gate girl for Custer State Park. We have been married for 6 years this February. We have 2 children. The oldest is Ashlynn who is 5 years old and Carson is 3 years old. We are also expecting a baby boy April 1st, 2010. I can’t forget our loving black lab, Lilly, she is 4 years old. We just bought a house on the West side in October of 2009 and are liking the change.
