| Although West River will always be home, Kasey Bickel enjoys the fast paced and ever growing environment Sioux Falls offers. After graduating from South Dakota State University in 2008 with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism, Kasey relocated to Sioux Falls (following a brief stint as a barista) to work as a Sales Coordinator at the Courtyard and SpringHill Suites by Marriott. She has since transferred to their sister property, the new Hilton Garden Inn, where she works with clients booking meetings, events, and guest rooms. Her favorite part of the hospitality industry is working with people, getting to know each client’s specific needs, and making them feel at home when they’re traveling.
Kasey’s main passion in life is coffee – drinking it, smelling it, and telling others what it takes to make a perfect espresso drink. A close second to caffeine are visits home to her family’s ranch outside of Timber Lake, SD, where the deer and the antelope play. She has enjoyed getting to know her new MacBook Pro and Cannon camera over the past year, although there is always more to learn. Kasey is currently training for her second half marathon and hopes to participate in several road races in the near future.
